Tony McEvoy is one of Australia’s most decorated thoroughbred trainers. A Hall of Fame inductee with Group 1 victories at the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup, and every major carnival on the Australian racing calendar. Operating dual stables at Morphettville and Flemington, his patient, horse-first approach has produced over 750 winners across every state.

A meticulous student of breeding and race-placing, Tony’s ability to identify the right race for the right horse at precisely the right time sets his operation apart. His reputation for transparency and communication with owners is unmatched — people stay in the game because of the experience, not just the results.

Calvin McEvoy has grown up around thoroughbreds his entire life and joined the stable full-time after completing his training qualifications. He is on track every morning alongside Tony, absorbing the craft from one of the most experienced trainers in the country while bringing a fresh analytical eye to every decision.

Owners consistently comment on Calvin’s communication. Always across the detail, never leaves a question unanswered. His ability to build relationships with horses and owners alike signals a long and successful career ahead. The future of McEvoy Racing is in very good hands.
